Stepping into Style with Ipanema

Even prior to attending Ipanema’s event at the Philippine Fashion Week 2011 held in SMX Convention Center, I have always loved their slippers and sandals from the first time I actually bought a pair a couple of years ago. And so when I was invited to join Ipanema as they launch their May 2011 collection, I was a very happy camper — or in this case, event attendee.

Patxi Elizalde, Managing Director of ELRO Corporation gave a very warm welcome to everyone there. Brand models Brazilian-Japanese hunk Fabio Ide, Kelly Misa, and Claire James graced the stage with their presence wearing their own fabulicious Ipanema footwear. We were all entertained by lively music and a very festive and sexy Brazilian dance number too! The event showed how the brand lives up to its name — sexy, fun, and stylish.

Why do I love Ipanema? Well I just love how every sandal/slipper has its own distinct style. There’s just so many different styles, colors and prints to choose from, and there’s just one to match every mood or occasion.

Choose from Ipanema’s range of sandals Classica, Anatomica, Neo Anatomica, or Surf Temas, Chic Fem, Flora Fem or Neo Apliques that offers comfort plus exceptional colors and designs that fit different moods. These extraordinary sandals conform to every contour of the sole which means less pressure is placed on the body when walking – perfect when staying out from morning ‘til night.

Ipanema flip flops give new twists to traditional sandals with various combinations of slip-on bar, sexy thongs, printed soles, vibrant colors and designs reminiscent of Brazil’s exquisite sceneries and beaches.

Moreover, the brand takes pride of being one of the most environmentally friendly and sustainable footwear around. Each pair is made up of butter-soft materials that are 99% recyclable. The innovative material is unbelievably flexible that widen the possibilities of producing creative, hypo-allergenic and super-comfy footwear with soles that are sublimely soft and perfectly padded.

And of course, here is my very own pair of Ipanema slippers:
